This comes after government revealed that airline crew will be subject to the same regulations as passengers.
Emirates has decided to cancel several international flights to South Africa, after the government has said that airline crew will be treated in the same way as passengers upon arrival in South Africa. For now, Emirates has only cancelled flights from Durban, although it has warned that it will suspend flight from Cape Town and Johannesburg too if regulations are not properly set out for crew members. It seems that there was some confusion as to which regulations apply to cabin crew at King Shaka Airport, which led the airline to halting flights.
