He received them for his tracks, “Supa Dupa”, “No Feelings” and “Call Me”.
K.O recently turned 40 and as part of his birthday celebration, his record label, Sony Music, presented him with three platinum plaques for his songs that earned this status. “Supa Dupa”, “No Feelings” and “Call Me” are the singles that went platinum
Further to this, he also dropped a brand new single at midnight today. He has been teasing the song’s release with cryptic Instagram posts for the past few days, before making the official announcement yesterday.
The single is called “PLAYBACK” and can be streamed on all major music streaming services.
The hitmaker has been a prominent figure in the music industry for the past few years. In 2019, he released “Supa Dupa” and that was the start of several highs in his career.
The single was released during the height of what many commentators called a decline in his career. The song, however, threw him right back in the center stage position in the local music industry.
Shortly after the release of “Supa Dupa” it was clear that K.O is far from over. It wasn’t long before he and clothing brand Asics worked together on selected items and his Skhanda World Collective was taking shape.
Fast forward a few years and today, the Skhanda World Collective is one of the most influential rap collectives in the country and his deal with Asics has born fruits by the buckets full.
K.O (@MrCashtime) took to Twitter to share images of his new plaques and wrote: “How my birthday started today.
