They were first spotted together in France in June, celebrating his birthday.

According to a source that spoke to PEOPLE magazine, Kanye West and model Irina Shayk have called it quits. “It was never a serious thing that took off,” one source says.

“Kanye has been busy working and spending time with his kids. This is his focus. He doesn’t have time to date right now. He finds Irina amazing though,” adds a second source. “They remain friendly.”

Representatives for both Kanye and Irina have not yet responded to any publication’s request for comment.

Earlier, it was reported that Irina was upset about previous breakup rumours that haunted the couple. Apparently very much still invested in their relationship. “Irina is so upset at the lies about her and Kanye,” the source said at the time. “They are very much still dating.”

Kanye and Irina were first seen together in June celebrating the rapper’s 44th birthday at Villa La Coste in France. Kanye started pursuing Irina before this, however. They hung out in New York City where she lives on multiple occasions. “He invited her to France and she happily accepted,” the insider said to PEOPLE. “They are not officially dating, but there is interest from both sides.”

Later that month, it was understood that the duo would try a long distance relationship. Kanye was to stay in Los Angeles and had no plans to move to New York City to be closer to Irina – his new love.

Kim Kardashian, who filed for a divorce from Kanye, was apparently aware of his relationship with Irina for weeks. Sources have said that Kim is not too phased about the fact that Kanye started dating again. Her only concern is the kids and she wants him to continue spending time with them.
