R750 million is lost each day in the international tourism industry.
Although South Africa will be moving to level 2, the country’s international borders will remain closed. This has led to various tourism groups putting pressure on the government to open international borders for tourists. It is being estimated that the industry is losing about R750 million per day due to visitors not being allowed into South Africa.
