The university was scheduled to reopen today.
The University of KZN has postponed the reopening of their campuses for the year. They were scheduled to open today, 4 January. However, after the President’s address to the nation and the move to level 3 of the lockdown, UKZN has put a halt to these plans. The reason for this is that KZN is a hotspot and the university does not want to risk infections spreading from their reopening. They have postponed their commencement date to 18 January 2021.
