This staircase is in a home in Tokyo and spans from the outdoor garden to the third floor.
A home in Tokyo features an enormous staircase to nowhere. The staircase starts outside in the garden and leads all the up to the third floor. It wasn’t built to be functional. Instead, the idea is that it creates a multilevel garden and lounge for cats. It conceals a bathroom and the real, functional staircase that the residents actually use. It was designed and created by the well-known design team at Nendo.
