Netflix wanted an extended jingle to make it clear that their platform is not a quick-consumption service.
Netflix has commissioned Hans Zimmer to create an extended jingle for their opening splash that plays before every title users stream. Zimmer is one of the best-known cinematic composers of our time, known for work on The Dark Night, Inception and Lion King, to name a few. Netflix wanted to extend their jingle to make it clear that they are not a quick-consumption platform. They hope that the new jingle wil help to increase the feeling of a cinematic experience.
