It doesn’t need to be connected to an iPhone anymore
After a recent update, Spotify can now run on Apple Watches independently. This means you can use the streaming service even if you don’t have an iPhone connected to your Apple Watch. The feature isn’t exactly unexpected. Spotify was testing it out in September this year, but the feature has now begun rolling out to greater numbers of users. You don’t even need to have a cellular Apple Watch to use the feature. You can use it over wifi too, meaning all Apple Watches can now stream Spotify without iPhones.
